  1. Invited Contributor, International Workshop on CIM in the Textile Industry, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, June 1993.

  2. Invited (and served) as an External PhD Thesis Examiner, Anna University, Madras, India, Summer-Fall 1993.

  3. Host and Adviser to two researchers visiting Georgia Tech under a United Nations (UNDP) sponsored program to explore the textile applications of Jute fibers (October 1993 - November 1993).

  4. Host in Georgia Tech/CETL's Visiting Professors Program, 1992-93 and 1993-94.

  5. Atlanta Area High School Science Fair

    6. Served as the Judge of the High School Science Fair for the Engineering Section. February 1997.

  6. Cluster Facilitator, The Georgia Tech Leadershape Institute, September 1997. Facilitated a group of student leaders from Campus in a week-long program as part of the Leadershape Institute.

  7. The Sensate Liner research has received national and international acclaim through the Press. Examples include:
